I know I haven't been uploading for the longest time but yeah just to share, recently I chopped off my hair. I kinda miss my old long hair when I can try out so many new things to it but I have to admit that the short hair was a refreshing change. Dear hair, hope you grow out soon so that we can try more new stuff together! (: Meanwhile, I shall look out for more short hair tips! :D

 Dear Hair lovers, 

pardon my lack of updates! I've just relocated to Adelaide, Australia for my degree and thus explaining my absence for the past one or two months. And life is just sooooo hectic here, I barely have time for this little space. And since the weather here is really cold and dry, I've already suffered some really serious knots and tangles in my hair. Not good. I couldnt do much except shampooing and conditioning and plus splurging on some really good leave-in conditioner that I recommended the other time! Meanwhile, hope you girls out there are pampering your hair and enjoy having new and lovely hairdos for fun and school! (:

Dear all, I finally got back from Europe. (:

Being away from home and all the hair products, I have deeply felt the importance for haircare. The really dry and unpredictable weather has made my hair really really dry and resulting in stubborn knots. Recently I came across an article in SimplyHer talking about the basics of haircare and I would love to share them with you so that we do right to our hair!

Dear people, pardon my lack of updates. Life has been pretty stagnant but im going for a holiday soon! (: I'm hoping it would be a good pitstop in my life to think about how far I've come, recharge myself and well, have fun of course! I'm so sorry for the slow updates due to my laziness and lack of inspiration.

Recently though, I've gave my bangs a trim which turned out really horrid (to me,at least) I gave a stupid and bold snip and there goes a whole chunk of my fringe. My instant reaction was to freak out and salvage it but you know, you cant do much when there's a limited supply of hair there lol. But thankfully, I have some really amazing hair that grows at the speed of light. In three days, my fringe has grown from above my brows to somewhere slightly below my brows! :D or maybe it was my hallucination but at least I dont freak out seeing myself in the mirror!

So people, when cutting your bangs please be meticulous and conservative. Cause when you snip it off, it's gone. Well, at least it will still grow out but we just have to live with that ugly hair for awhile. So think twice!!

Sorry for the really slow updates!
This is one simple way of pinning up your fringe when you are at school and your bangs are getting in the way.

It's really simple: Grab a part of your bangs and twist them, add more hair as you continue twisting. If you add the hair each time in proper sections, it can easily pass off as something more sophisticated like how most people like french braiding their fringe. It's just a similar style in a much simple way. And as the name suggests, if you are going to poof it up a little like mine in the video it kinda look retro. Likewise, you can pull the strands tighter when twisting so that it can flatten down more (if that's what you prefer)!

Sorry for some parts which are so not clear, apparently I am not really good at getting the right angles. But as I said, really simple, so try it! :D 

The promised updo that I have done... Well, I did it for chinese new year and also prom. It takes only about 3 mins to get it up and going.

 

Just a few things to take note, after you get the ponytail, you have to pull it forward and curl it inwards to make a hoop, which you will pin it down with bobby pins. Well, the loose strands you see can be pulled forward and pinned down or just left alone for a messier bun. You could use some hairspray to secure it at the end.

Unfortunately again, the lighting sucks. Couldnt edit it with the movie maker because apparently the video made by my camera has a completely different format and I tried a million ways to covert but it didnt work out! So, please make do with it, hope you guys get the steps! Oh and well I realised some parts were abit unclear so if you guys cant get the steps, maybe I'll post a clearer one next time :D Enjoy!

And so, I managed to do this updo with my most loved braids for my dinner and dance on friday. The time spent on it was surprisingly fast and yeap there you go, some pictures of it.




Unfortunately I didnt remember to get a snapshot of the back which is actually a very simple hair bun lookalike which I'm intending to post the video up really soon and then followed by my most favourite topic - skinfood! :D I'm so glad that this event is over, God knows how many sleepless nights I had thinking of what to do to my not-so-cooperative hair.
